ReachReddit is a Chrome extension that helps you discover subreddits, draft posts and comments, and follow Reddit-friendly practices. It does not auto-post, vote, or access your Reddit account.
We do not operate a backend server that collects your personal data. The extension stores data only on your device using Chrome’s local storage (e.g. product URLs, drafts, your manual karma numbers). That data is not sent to our servers.
If you sign in inside the extension (Options page), we use Firebase Authentication. Your email and password are handled by Firebase; we do not store your password. Sign-in is optional — all features work without an account.
If you add an OpenAI API key in the extension options, it is stored locally in your browser and used only for draft generation. We do not receive or store your API key.
The extension reads public Reddit data (e.g. subreddit rules and descriptions) via Reddit’s public APIs. It does not use Reddit authentication or access private data.
